Hi, I’m Melissa — the designer behind Melissa Hubbard Web Design.
I specialize in custom website design, brand design, and marketing assets for small businesses across Newport News, Yorktown, Hampton Roads, the entire Virginia Peninsula as well as the Outer Banks, NC.
But my business didn’t start as a big agency plan.
It started as a pivot.
At the time, I was working from home as a Digital Marketing Specialist, balancing projects and campaigns while raising my young family. When my role began shifting back to an in-office position, I faced a decision many parents know all too well.
With a newborn and a four-year-old at home, returning to the traditional 9–5 simply wasn’t the right fit for our family.
So I had a choice.
Update my resume, open Indeed, and find another job…
or finally build the business I had been dreaming about.
Two days later, I had a website.
That website became the foundation for what is now Melissa Hubbard Web Design, a business dedicated to helping companies build professional online presences through thoughtful design and strategic marketing.
My business has evolved dramatically since then—and so have I.
